Could you afford to maintain and fix the bits that invariably go wrong on a more frequent basis?
I genuinely think as time goes on you forget all the things you hated about an older car and remember it with rose-tinted specs on... I do it with my 106 XSi. But, I've only ever been in Valvers a...
Don't know what the average professional detailer charges but agree with Brand. If you're not a professional and are doing it on the odd day for a bit of cash-in-hand then the whole selling point is value for money. The majority of people who will pay you will be people who don't really care for...
Looks good mate, no idea on pricing but if you get enough interest you could do 3/4 cars over a weekend and it'll be a nice earner for the month - albeit you'll be knackered!
£30 a car, 3/4 cars a week = £400ish a month.
Interesting how you can see what he means the minute you don't quite do it 'right'. The way he's intstructing as you get to each corner, would that be more valuable at other tracks as well, or is it mostly going to benefit Bedord?
Didn't you make a point of saying that the reason you got the newer Ph2 over the Ph1 was the fact you wanted a totally standard car and you weren't going to modify, not even chaning wheels or suspension, blah, blah...
So, no. As you say, waste of mone. ;)
Funny 5 minutes Ali? Calm down son. ;)
I think the debate here has stemmed more from the whole issue of Adam trying to sell it in the 1st place undeclared.
At the end of the day, even Cat D's are worth a fair bit of cash if they're a decent car. For example, a Cat D Koenigsegg would still...
Already is Fub's...

Looking as you're looking to sell your VX, I'd say to Subway that whatever you make on your car becomes the purchase price for his. It'll be in the region of 10k...
Ali and Hoff, try not to make it into an argument between yourselves. I know what The Hoff's saying but also understand what Ali means.
Subway paid approx £8k for it, so anything more than that just wouldn't make sense really. But, if you're really keen, maybe stretch to an extra grand or two...
I remember literally months after the 1st Vee was released, they were popping up in 2nd-hand prestige dealers all over the country as people couldn't handle what they thought was just going to be a "really nice Clio".
Would've thought people would've learnt by now. But yes, under £10k is...
Saw this advertised and noticed the CS keyring... anyone's?

That exhaust has got to be the best aesthetic mod possible... along with Ph2 rears!
Power in FWD doesn't necessarily mean spin, spin, spin anymore...
There's aspects of the VXR range that I absolutely adore, but then there's the exhaust and stupid fish gills that make me reach for that candle/fork/finger...
It actualy looks like quite a good'un: FRSH, tidy engine bay, interior looks fairly well maintained from the pics, nothing to speak of exterior-wise.
Might be worth a call to see if they'll sort the belts change, or take 600 off the price. £2k is cheap for a decent nick one, even in the...
Mileage on moern cars isn't that important tbh, it's how various other parts have been maintained and replaced over the time.
If it has a full service history at correct intervals then I wouldn't discount it. If the belts have done 60k, then I'd get them to change them first, or kock the price...
