Who mentioned the Cup?
I wholly disagree. I would guess that the Abarth will weigh more than the current selection of 500's and will not handle well. There has not been a good Fiat for years and although I think the 500 looks okay - for my girlfriend, I can't see it making any dent in the...
Would you not be better stripping the Cup? Doesn't cost much and you won't need to drive a 90's Fine Fare 'Oops' wagon.
You don't even know if the AX will be quicker. If it is, it will not be by much. Cup gets my vote.
Exactly what I was thinking. I very much doubt it was the tyres that were to blame. Glad you are okay though, I've read a few reports recently about bad crashes in dodgy weather and the outcome has been worse.
That's the problem with cars these days - they just keep adding more power when the rest of the car isn't able to cope. More power doesn't make the car better, they are still $hit cars.
Not in my experience. My Cup v my mates VTS = No contest, and that was with a bad start from me. I pulled a good few lengths by 100. The Cup is a good 4-5 seconds quicker to 100.
Both are great cars. You get muchos bang per buck from the Clio but the CTR is better quality. It's all down to preference and price at the end of the day.
I much preferred the Clio to drive but I liked the interior of the Civic and the space. Came down to what I paid for my Clio - a lot less...
Prove it! (Just being annoying btw! I don't care it the CTR is faster)
I just want to see this evidence so that this weekly thread can be put to bed and we can all sell up and buy a Civic!
CTR's suck! (Only joking)
I would go with the Clio if you are looking not to spend a whole lot on insurance and running the car. CTR is better quality but costs more to run (mpg etc). Very little difference in performance - Clio for me is more fun although I have only driven a CTR twice.
