Ouch... so it's white paint on top rather than a scratch down to the primer then?
In that case some meguairs quick clay should lift that off nicely.
Dont worry about the supagard, its nothing special, i have it on my trophy too. Just apply a good wax once its cleaned up.
I'm pretty sure the ones in the 172 / 182 are Siemens, but couldn't say for sure if thats the same for the DCi.
I'm sure someone more helpful will be along to answer your question shortly :P
Yeah, you can get them reset so they can be used on another vehicle now.
Fastchip (www.fastchip.nl) can do that for you, although it does mean sending it away for a few days. I think BBPT might be able to do this too.
Good work! The difference is pretty shocking really when you look at it like that. Seems like inlet manifold work is about the best thing you can do to a RenaultSport engine without throwing thousands at it.
Seriously?
Can't believe they can do that :S I know having the box connected to the phone line is part of the interactive discount contract when you get a free digibox, but didn't think they could actually fine people.
Here's my video compilation from the Renaultsport track day at Brands back in May.
http://crowspeed.net/videos/rensportbrands/brandsmovie.wmv
No arty effects or anything was just edits from the camcorder tape stuck together quickly that evening, but I still quite like it.
They are normally very good with warranties, they replaced the backbox on Fubar's exhaust free of charge, and he didn't buy it, it was on the car when he got it.
I dont really know what you're expecting them to do if you are too far away to travel to them? They should of course advise all...
Agree with JamesRT, Sony Vegas is excellent. Lots of high end features possible if you want to use them, but not as difficult to use as Premiere (and all adobe products to be honest)
Yep I made the one i used to use in my 172.
It lasted plenty of trackdays, and worked perfectly. Cost me about £2 to make :p
Recaros meant i was going to have to get a windscreen mount, but i bought a bullet camera instead.
I'm going to try and adapt my mount so that it will fit the...
I agree it's the discs. I've been running the PF pads on the original renault discs since I bought the Trophy, and the amount of dust has been cut by at least 50% compared with the same pads and Brembo HC discs i ran on the 172. The dust that is created still sticks like hell to the wheels...
Looked very close Mark. Its a tricky corner that is. Spot on on the laps I went out with you on later though.
Agree with edde, I had a similar thing at FCS (Video). Not much you can do to save it once it really goes. Fortunately mine was at an airfield so there was plenty of run off though.
I dont see anything wrong with the suction mounts personally, but a couple of trackdays i've been to have said they are not allowed. Most organisers dont mind as long as the camera is fixed securely, but a fixed mount is probably safer.
Like this one...
its written on the front of the actual OEM head unit:
Tuner List:
Update List:
Cars that were originally fitted with the Update List head unit have different displays and stalks, and most current adapters will not work with them.
Yeah, time will tell on that one I guess. The orange strip round the edge is raised slightly so when you put the phone down, the lens doesn't contact the surface. The plastic that covers the lens is very solid. I wouldnt expect it to get any more damaged than maybe a few fine scratches. It's...
yeah it is pretty much, just slightly wider i think. Its compared to the s700 too in the review:
http://www.mobile-review.com/review/sonyericsson-w900-en.shtml
Its funny, I thought I would prefer a black one but looking at those pics compared to the white version in front of me the white is...
Em, its quite a chunky phone. Mine is the white version, but here's some comparison pics next to a k750 taken from another site.
Opened out its big (although not much bigger than most flip phones really), but you only need that for texting.
Its worth the increase in phone size for the much...
The phone comes with 3 Vodafone themes, then the ones on the Sony Website (see link day posted above) except for the christmas ones (so thats Backstreet, Lounge and Avenue).
Mitchy, I got it from Vodafone through the website and it cost me £50. I'm only a light user so that wasn't too bad, it's free on some of the more expensive contracts. Stocks are scarce at the moment though. Its romoured that it is only available on Vodafone exclusively till Feb, but not...
Got my Sony Ericsson w900i yesterday.
As it's only just been released there's not much out there in the way of downloads and stuff yet other than the standard SE ones.
Anyone know of any sites with themes for it? Esato dont seem to have any yet.
Depends how new your 182 is. Check the standard head unit, if it has 'Tuner List' written on it, this will work fine.
If it has 'Update List' on it, then you're out of luck for stalk adapters at the moment i'm afraid. :(
As far as I know Cat. D shouldn't affect the cost of insurance on the car (although you have to tell them) and doesn't need a VIC (Vehicle Identity Check) to be carried out as other categories do.
I've never been in that situation myself, but i believe it works like this.
Insurance company write of the car and offer you say (random figures!) £4000 as a payout. You say you want to buy the car back, so they deduct the salvageable value of the car (say £1200) from your pay out.
So...
Noooo! Not the Green Sheep!
That was looking great Jon, really like the way the Mk2 bumpstrips came out.
Difficult to know how much damage has been done behind that wheel, but i'd be suprised if it's written off really. If it is buy it back and fix it, cant be that much to fix with bits from...
Yeah, they're not the easiest cars to drive from a transmission point of view, but you do get used to it quite quickly.
You wait till you get stuck in a traffic jam on a hill! Hope your clutch foot is in good shape :clown:
The Trophy and later 182's came with a very slightly different head unit / display / stalk hardware. The standard head units in these have 'Update List' rather than the usual 'Tuner List' on them.
Just about all the current stalk adapters / changer interfaces etc on the market do not work...
