I had exactly the same thing on my mk2 ph1 1.4s, really stunk and made quite a bit of smoke, got it sorted out though and now got a new one sorted, plus the garage found a fraid throttle cable, could have snapped at any time...:S

No worries, I got mine off of here www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk only the cheapy ones but was very pleased with them and is a noticable difference plus they did me a little discount as I order new wipers too. Oh and I think the fogs are H1 iirc, are you still coming on sunday?

I thought the sports lights were pretty good tbh, I'm happy with mine but have uprated the bulbs to xenon gas filled ones and they are even better!! Tom wheres your car owners manual?? tut tut!
