Torsion Tuning?...

Was speaking to someone from here that was at a car meet in Pitsea on saturday about the above company and engine changes from a 1.4 to a 1.8 (mk1)

Guy I was speaking to had an L reg dark grey smoothed clio with the turbo'd 1.8 engine done by BB Performance and Tuning I think he said.

Anyways, basically, how much did you say they could do them for as it may be an option I may look at- seeing as my headgasket problems may be more expensive to repair than getting a 1.8 engine in my clio lol.
Or if anyone knows how reliable etc these changes are and how good the company is would be good to know,thanks!

Torsion Tuning are quite good.
I have used them in the past (when i had my vlaver) A few others on here have had engine conversions done, diamond geezer has a gtt lump in his clio- done by them, plus a few others have willy conversions done by them.

I had my previous car, a 106 GTi, lowered by the guys at Torsion Tuning. Absolutely top job, I dropped my car off at 7pm and they had the full suspension kit kitted by 10pm the same night. Couldn't recommend them more highly

Need to change insurance companies though as Tesco won't insure me on a 1.8 16v until i'm 21yrs old.

Hi mate, got insured on my valver at 18 with admiral who where the cheapest by far when shopping around- for £1238 tptf. 19 now and Im insured with adrian flux for £938 tptf (with a load of mods). Sam

one of my mate's, dan, is good mates with em at torsion, he's always had his GTT lumps played with by em, now there droppin a willy lump into his r5!

he cant rate em enough as far i know!

Mitch... I'm in Haverhill yea, Torsion Tuning are about 30mins down the road from me.
Already have plans for this Sunday unfortunately, or I would have come along.

Braintree in Essex is close enough for me, bf had his mag featured MG ZR engine conversion done (Rover 820 engine) in Luton and had many a problem with the engine so was going there every weekend for about 8weeks!

Will try and make it to the rolling road day as my car should be fixed by then (dependent on head gasket damage which is getting looked at on saturday)
