    Inlet Gaskets upper and lower

Just re-use the old ones. They're fine to re-use 99% of the time.

How much is this exhaust worth?

£350 or so depending on condition. Still the best exhaust for a 1*2 IMO

Changing Gearbox & Clutch - Advice / Anything I am missing?

I bought this one. For the money, its cracking.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/24v-Cordless-Impact-Wrench-Gun-1-2-Drive-With-2-Twin-Batteries-/151630206944?hash=item234ddd57e0:g:KKoAAOSwstxVEugi

Changing Gearbox & Clutch - Advice / Anything I am missing?

100% buy a cheap impact gun. Will save you hours on a first timer. Another tool that i couldn't be without - 16mm ratchet spanner for the upper gearbox mount to box bolt. Saves you ten mins of f**king about. Cheeky tip also, instead of splitting the linkage and box, just undo the selector rod...

No, no, no. You don't understand. We got a tree that's six inches taller this year, so we need 84 more f**king decorations at £4 a pop. Then apparently I 'speak to her like s**t' Silence, crazy female.

    Aircon Compressor Change

Bingo, put the belt back on and the tensioner does the rest. I don't like using jubilee clips on it. I use a 3/8 bit on a wobbly to do it. Works fine.

    Aircon Compressor Change

I would still buy a new aux belt. For the sake of £8 or whatever it'll be, might as well. Yep, you have to remove/detension the aux belt to remove the AC compressor, so would need to put it back on..

    Aircon Compressor Change

Yep, i'd whip the alternator off. Just for access. Bumper off, slam panel off, alternator off, wheel arch liner out, bam. Easy job tbh. Aux belt needed to do the AC compressor anyway. Buy the kit and change the lot unless it's been done very recently, then just the belt would be fine IMO.

SM inlet turkish rs2 ish one...results so far

So loses 12lbft of torque from 4.5k-6k. Which is gained low down..

You're the kind of customer i turn down work for on a daily basis. Lol.

SM inlet turkish rs2 ish one...results so far

Bingo. Peak power figure means absolutely nothing, IMO. At this stage, i'd still be going RS2, because the gains and driveability are proven on many vehicles. The solution is almost perfected, no tapping/moving holes, no dodgy packaging from the other side of Timbucktoo, reliable retailer...

    switching sportlines to prokit

Yep. That's exactly what it'll do. I honestly think Prolines on standard shocks is the best road setup for a Clio. Especially coupled with a Whiteline.

    Suspension decisions.

100% the right choice mate. Difference as well also, is AST's will hold their money as long as they stay tidy. GAZ are worth pennies in comparison second hand.

Hang on. Person asks for advice, decides against the advice, then changes his own mind and goes with those who knows best? CS- stop the press! Nice buy! ;)

    removing all plastic interior

Yep, it's a doddle. Need a T20 torx piece and away you go. Between @Nick172Cup and I we had a Ph1 fully stripped interior wise in 40 mins or so at the weekend.

    Steering boss removal ***need help***

Breaker bar through the boss. Rock it back and forwards to free it up. If it's not coming off semi-easily then there could well be thread damage..

Jobs worth doing while doing gearbox

Clutch kit 100%. Steering rack bushes if they've never been done. Tie rods also if not been done. Box oil. Whole suspension can be apart in seconds from that state too, so if any is worn, get that swapped too

    Steering boss removal ***need help***

Length of rope, tie to second car, drive off. Will pull it off no problems.

    83 R5 Turbo 2 - £84K

The price advertised i suspect is irrelevant. Super high prices weed out people offering £3k and a curly wurly, and promote exposure. That exposure may lead to a serious buyer seeing it and falling in love. But yeah, they love a thin air figure.
  25. Budgie

    Mop for newbie :)

I say it would probably be alright, yeah.
  26. Budgie

Buy used AST's IMO. Anything else and you'll end up replacing it later down the line.

    182 won't start

Does it click? Or not? Does the immobiliser light go out or flash?
  30. Budgie

    Another dead 182

At least get a figure of how much to buy it back. My bet is it would be sub £500. Which is a bargain.
