Steering boss removal ***need help***

undo the center bolt that holds it on put the weel back on and then give it a bit of a bang with your hand and pull useing the wheel, careful not to take your teeth out mind.

Mate tried that, even tried taking a hammer to the boss and it still won't budge. Proper out of ideaa
or can allways try heating it up ( if you feel brave)

Doing it that way with a chisel will it Ky effect the splines in the shaft
MG ZR x2, Polo, CTR
You only want to give the boss a little shock to loosen it up, not send it into next week.
and if you havent allready done it mate a bath in wd-40 or something similer.

Yeah already done that will try the chisel and a punch see if that works

Right tried the chisel and even tried a puller, part smacking the crap out of it I'm out of ideas
looks like you stuck with it on there mate, surpised the puller diddent work, was it hard to put on when you fitted it?
only other thing is maybe a slide hammer if you have one?

No went on with a easy, tapped it with a rubber hammer for last few bits to Make sure only been on for 6 months lol
