Fuming :rage:
I am changing the Discs on the Mrs's car and the Caliper bolts were on silly tight and on trying to undo the second one it snapped right off :rage:
Any ideas on how to get this out? trying drilling it with a HSS drill bit but it hardly marked it 😞
Pic of Bolt and...
Cheers dave, I'll take for a re gas then as it probably does need it after 10+ years of ownership!
In the meantime, where do I look to see a possible leak?
Alright guys,
Any ideas why my Climate/Air con is not blowing out cold when set to min? it used to be pretty chilly but now it's not.
I posted in this thread http://www.cliosport.net/threads/only-hot-air-out-of-heater.308548/page-4 but got no response.
It doesn't seem to be that issue anyway...
Right I have had a look, that one bolt was a nightmare to remove too :rage: can anyone see anything wrong with mine because it looks ok to me
[/IMG]
I was rather hoping it was mashed!!
Any ideas? back to square one 😞
Bump!
Great, mines just packed up :( I don't fancy doing it either, lining the cogs up is putting me off.
I suppose I've done quite well it lasting so long since 2004!
All very odd! The control unit in the car turns on and I can adjust the temp etc however there is no air coming through the vents at all no matter how high I turn it up.
I am guessing it's still the resistor that's responsible.
My 182 ff has all of a sudden developed this fault 😞
No matter what I do I can't switch it off unless I take the keys out the ignition! It works ok but as I say it won't turn off.
Any ideas people?
Ta.
Thought I'd update this to show what an absolute joke Halfords are.
Passed today with my £2.50 hose clip attached! I feel like sending in a complaint though as saying £150 is absolutely scandalous.
Bump.
Proof that Halfrauds deserve that tag and haven't a clue what their talking about.
I managed to take a quick look today at it, been raining so couldn't have a go at it properly, he reckons someone has put a tie wrap on it!!
Boot looks fine too which makes the £150 laughable!
Does...
Cheers Stu, I am in Altrincham 8 miles from Manchester.
I have been doing some serious research into this now and from what I gather Jubilee clips are the way to go.

Bargain... save myself £148!!

Thanks lads for the advice, just as I thought proper p!sstake!
I used them last year and it passed so thought I'd stay with em... live and learn!
I imagine the gaiter itself is ok as they only mentioned it was insecure both on the paperwork and in person.
Jubilee or boot clip then will be ok...
Hi guys.
Not happy. Front Nearside CV joint gaiter insecure to the extent it no longer prevents ingress of dirt.
Costly job lads then? Halfrauds quoted me £150!! Said it's fixed on with a tie wrap! No idea why - never hsd work done on it but that price seems excessive to me.
Any ideas? Could I...
It's a 2 and 2's are dearer than the newer 3's I see :S
I think I'll buy a new one, would it be worth keeping the punctured one or should I give it to the Garage? winds me up because it's virtually new
Cheers Lads, out of interest bloke how did you repair yours? I will probably order a new one but I've noticed they have increased in price - cheapest seems to be £100 fitted.
Alrite lads.
I am not a happy chappy. :(
I bought some new Rainsports the other month and today I noticed the rear was looking a little flat then I found this.
Repairable or not? Would I be able to use the foam tyre repair for a short time till I get it repaired/new tyre
Cheers.
Cheers, just gave it 3 blasts with my new toy - Clarke 12v Gun its pretty good tbh it got the nuts off the hub and believe me there was no chance by hand, they were stuck solid.
Alrite fellas need some help rapid!
Car is currently in bits sort of after me deciding to change the front offside spring:eek:
I have put a Eibach sportline on and it seems that I have managed it:eek:
How tight does the top mount need to be? it was hell getting it off!
I'm tending to go along with this as I don't have a problem as far as I am aware, just a bit narked that I jumped in a bought two because the Mechanic mentioned them! :dapprove:
Will do just that, surprised Birchdown didn't give me a price even if they are booked up but never mind.
One thing that's niggling at me is this... will the top/suspension mounts really need replacing when doing the Springs even though the MOT made no mention of them and I don't seem to have an...
