Depends how much fuel there was in the car before you added the tenners worth. Lets say for arguments sake the car was running on fumes, you then added £10 worth and did 15 or so miles then it's pheasable that the light could be on again.

Check the connectors under the passenger seat. Common fault/problem/annoyance.

Wrong... VVT operates from 1300rpm and WOT. I'm sure Ben or Fred will explain in much more detail if you need it. It's not VTEC which you're propbably on about.

Both engines (172/182) have VVT BUT the kick at 5k isn't down to VVT it's simply the cams.

Aslong as the garage is VAT registered and uses Renault approved parts you can get it serviced anywhere and the warranty remains intact.
