How can I tell if I'm receiving a 3G signal? I've called Vodafone and they said the "G" onscreen means I'm receiving a signal but what's on the screen doesn't look like the "3G" symbol in the manual. I've also paid £5 for the Factual/News TV channels but they are unwatchable and blocky.

Not really as tax camera's, speed camera's, ANPR etc don't care about not being able to get a "M". All they care about is not being able to read the plate correctly.
