Surely it's just coil pack? Wasn't that the most common on these. Or was that just the 1.4? What symptoms does the car have? or is it just the light on?
They do look a bit high yeah. Although i'm sure it doesn't look that bad on the ph2. I only use my 15's for track though, so i'm not bothered really. Coilovers will be coming at some point though :)
where are you? if it's starting, but then conking out it could be a few things.
If it was an immobiliser fault it wouldn't spark at all, so its not that.
Hopefully the pump isn't goosed :S Get it checked ASAP just in case, and drive carefully before hand. The last thing you want is something more serious to go. Switch is quite a common fault though.
True, but some people like the fun of the build (well it starts out that way anyhow.lol). You never see many 182 versions though, only the 172. 12K is a bargain when you take into account how much the GB is worth :D
Ta. Thought it might be :) they have a nice setup at CNC heads in Stockport. Made me laugh it was all upstairs. Felt sorry for whoever had to install that. Amazing to watch in action :approve:
Yeah uprated springs Tom, but do the not require bigger lifters?
CNC would be better you can't argue with that surely? I'm sure hand work would make a difference, but it's going to be nowhere near as accurate.
Probably not needed mate no, but i'm sure it will be hard. Forged bottom end, decent ECU, Cams, Map, Decent Exhaust (btb do 182 ones off the shelf now, best flowing system out there :approve: ). few more bits i'd imagine. basically send it to matt ;)
In fareness, there isn't much point as it just spins up anyway when you floor it with the traction control off.
182's aren't good for standing starts, and clutch/Gb don't like it. Not worth the pending bill imo.
it's purely cosmetic, so just get any reasonably looking black plastic down there ;)
I don't think their is a massive over hyping of the cup packed 182. It is better than the 182 standard. Not a huge difference, but an evolution no the less.
What sort of exhaust mani you refering to Matt? You thinking 421's with bigger lifters?
It might be worth getting the head CNC'd properly (i know a guy, but you'll be looking at £700+VAT) to get a bit more power and efficience out for the engine. Plus while it's all in bits you don't need to...
Slightly more irrc. It would be better to get a custom one (can't think of it's name, but the bit that's got teeth on it :)) to reduce the LTL slightly to put with the manual rack.
I mean I doubt you can just put them on and away you go. They will need messing with I'd imagine. Ride height will look silly unless you leave it standard, or get lower springs for the front. With a coilover set, everything is 'set up' to a degree. You just tweak it. How much and what make are they?
