No offence but there's no point in getting insurance. I'm assuming your 1.2 is only worth about a grand or so?
So obviously there is then no point paying £80 for insurance with a grand+ excess for a car that your not even going to get a contribution towards should you worse happen.
I would say that's very toppy mate. Was it even a specialist or just a random garage?
My local mechanic is proper decent but I still wouldn't take mine to him for a cambelt change. Even though he'd say he could do it no dought, I know he hasn't got the right locking tools.
I would take it to...
I'm not surprised iron x didn't touch it. I would try some tar remover. I'm not sure if thinners on the body work would be a good idea but I don't know, I wouldn't risk it myself.
I might consider trying to heat the glue a little bit with a hair-drier and using floss to try and get under it...
The fuel tank is plastic lol!? Never would have imagined that.
But thanks. At least I know now, it had never crossed my mind originally.
I will plan on using a metal sheet and some damp fireproofing in the gap between the tank and the floor. Assuming that it will just wedge in and there...
Safety Devices from Mr Fish.
I'm sure it's probably the same place for the main hoop. Right back into the corners of the floor before the raised section?
I'll mention about putting a layer of fire proofing in between the floor and the fuel tank to him then.
With the underseal, he's a body...
He does drive stupidly fast and hard! I always have to say to him make sure you let it warm up properly because I know it will be given hard treatment.
Didn't know that leaving it on idle makes the mpg drop though, maybe it was left on for a while whilst my mechanic was checking the exhaust...
Just a quickie. Talking to a guy I know, who's going to be welding my floor plates in for my cage.
He hasn't seen my car yet or the position, but said to check the position of the fuel tank and find out whether it needs to be removed whilst welding??
It hadn't even crossed my mind to be...
To be fair. You can almost drive along normally without sounding much different from a standard car. It's only when you properly drive it that it sounds loud.
Just had my Milltek sports cat fitted today to go with my cat back.
This full system combined with the KTR induction kit sounds absolutely awesome.
Over the moon with it all. Just been out for a quick blast around my block.
One very happy customer!
If it's written off you will be able to get your belongings out of it, buy this I mean coat, gloves, glasses etc.
But you will not be able to take any parts off of it. Once they have paid out and you have accepted the payment the car and all it's parts now belong to them.
You could buy it...
I recently just got all mine. Went to Powerflex directly via Ebay I think. It was the cheapest price I could find.
Worth a note though, that the wishone kit in the K-Tec link you put, is the old style.
There is an updated wishbone kit from Powerflex with black bushes which are stronger I...
