I wanted to get an R32 MK4 next year but at 14k for an average one... and 5k for a mint ph1 172... I know where my money is going.

How steep is insurance on a 172 matey? I wouldn't bother with a 1.6 conversion.. my corsa is 1.6 and is equal to mk2 1.6 clio's. it's nippy but not worth the hassle imo. Im hoping to get a Mk1 172 early next year btw :):):)

lol don't matter mate we all make mistakes! try the parts for sale section on here, or ebay as you'll most likely be able to find a decent set on there. dynamique alloys should fit your car if Im correct. 2nd hand you can find good sets as ppl upgrade to OZ's etc... have a butchers :)

tires are shameful so you want alloys? :S 2 birds with 1 stone yes maybe but cheap toyo's will do a great job in the short term

I agree with McBunny though, they are proper shite these days.. maybe it's a Sony Ericsson thing but mine has to be charged every night and all it gets used for is calls/txts, dont use the internet on it or the bluetooth ever. useless
