Errr...may have been me. I was around Gatwick last night at about 11.30 on my way back friomk Brighton but I didn't stop in Mcdonalds so it prob wasn't!
No he actually looked fairly un-wind swept...then again he looked to be wearing a tub of hair gel.
And anyway, with the speed we were travelling at there were no bugs in fear of their lives....I didn't get out of 2nd gear for about 3 miles
Had a RenaultSport Spider alongside me in the traffic jam on the A3 this morning with an appropriate number plate considering todays date! R666 MPH
Rare as rocking horse poo
Mine is worn on the bottom right and top right.....ive put it down to use of the palm to spin the wheel around when parking.
Creates quite alot of friction so it obviously wears the leather, and its also where my hands usually rest (lazilly) so ive reverted back to using the thumb grips.
Well the general consensus is that if its that many miles in that short amount of time, that it could have possibly been a demo car for a dealership before it was sold.
Check to see how many owners its had.
If its 2 then its more than likely that it was pre-reged with Renault and used as a...
Any idea which number it is by any chance?
Just wondering cos my mate who works for Renault in Guildford mentioned recently that they sold the Trophy they have had for ages and not been able to shift....the notorious 000/500 no less....with about the same amount of miles on.
Well lets put it this way, do you really feel you need to swap for the Trophy and does it feel like the best move without a doubt?
Just weigh up the pro's and cons (something you have doubtlessly already done) and Roberts your fathers brother....
Ok its a rather high miler for its age but...
Well, in my opinion the Trophy is probably the natural progression from the Cup.
Dynamically the Trophy is superior due to the rudely expensive suspension and it obviously has more creature comforts compared to the Cup, adding weight but then again its not exactly heavy is it?
I'd say go for it...
That "numpties" comment wasn't in reference to you R30BC....it was to Len about Corsa boy.
Those little berlingos do go though....quite comical if anything!
Hahaha! See again its numpties in cars with all the power of a hairdryer.
To overtake ANYTHING in something that puny takes either extreme bravery or extreme stoopidness....in most cases the latter!
This is getting a little bit repetitive now.....only had ANOTHER one tonight trying to be the hero!
Its the driving equivalent of walking around with a post it stuck to my ass saying "kick me", instead in this case its almost like there is a huge one stuck to the back of the car saying...
Why do these people try it?
Is almost like they all have small dick syndrome or something.....something to desperately try and prove!
Only thing is they aren't really thinking it thru are they?!
Suzuki not-so-Swift Vs 182??? How is that ever gonna have a happy ending for them?
A situation today in which i didn't know whether to laugh my ass off or just lose my rag.....this is rather lengthy so sit back and enjoy.
It seems as though owning my car attracts every little jumped up wannabe on the road looking for a race!
Pulled up alongside a 206 dirgebox today at the...
Or is it that a guy who IS a massive nob drives it?? hehe
Oh im a proper :clown: tonight. First a dig at Ryan then you....its not that im tageting you MK1 boys honest....just purely coincidence ;)
Really? Wow....glad im in good company then!
Yeah i stayed in Strathpeffer for a week about 4 years ago now. Loved it up there.
Hopefully getting back up there soon
Ahhh now i drove from Strathpeffer (spelling?) to Ullapool and back again on a road that was absolutely brilliant!
One of the best drives ive had and that was in the crappy 1.2 Corsa with a knackered engine mount, so god knows i'd play there all day with Cup!
I took a friend of mine out in mine the other night.
He has a 1.8 A3 non-turbo and he never shuts up about it, but then he has gone from a Skoda Felicia, a clapped out 306 into the A3 so he's a little bit heady about it.....claims its great to drive, has great grip etc.
Anyway, we went out in...
Nothing like a good late night blast to get the buzz going but im not doing the Cup justice on the roads down here and it gets really fustrating!
There are some that provide a challenge but there is just not enough of them and they are all way too short or poorly surfaced.
Now the Isle Of...
I envy you immensely having roads like you do right in your back yard literally....
I have to hunt out roads that are even slightly interesting (and well surfaced) and even then there is the risk of being nabbed by Mr Plod.
I drove in Scotland many moons ago up around Inverness and Loch Ness...
Spotted another Cup in the outside lane of the A3 going south as i was heading north.....didn't catch a plate but exchanged glances.
Cups are rare round Guildford way....usually when i see another its my mate in his!
If i see another Clio Sport these days its usually a Trophy!!
There must be at least 5 or 6 in or around the Guildford area...maybe more!
Saw this one on Salt Box Road today at arounf 5.45pm. It gave a flash on the way past
Looked like it a slightly stoved in bonnet.
Hardly ever see Cups so...
Joined the A3 at the Tescos slip to go North this morning at around 9am and noticed a Trophy about 6 or 7 cars ahead.
Didn't catch a reg number because by the time i got past the cars ahead it had promptly given it some beans and launched itself off into the distance with some kind of high...
Its freaky how everytime i have a worry about my car, a post appears on here about the very same thing!
Well now thats eased my mind somewhat.
Still no closer to finding out what my knocking/clunking noise is when going over harsh bumps or round bumpy corners.....any ideas?
Driving me nuts!
