yeh been there and done that 3 times, but if he wont do anything what do you expect me to do !!!, the f**kers are crap, this last time i went in with the lads (not on purpose but i just happened to be passing with them in the car), and they were going to politely persuade him !!!, these are big...
right i had my centre section replaced under warranty, anyway they did it and when i got there it had not been put on straight, so they then take it back and try to straighten it, which they do, but i notice its now pointing to the left !!!, they then tell me it cant be adjusted anymore ...
that might be the case with renault insurance but it may and will be seen in a different light by other comapnies , its like buying a standard mini and adding the works kit to it but forgetting to tell your insurance
exactly, that could be read in different ways, a standard 182 has normal wheels and no spoiler and a 182 cup has uprated springs/spoiler/wheels, so they could argue that your car has paid for improvements on it
no but the insurance company will screw you if given half a chance, you have to read there terms and conditions, it usually says something there about it, and if it says you cant fit anything to the car including manufacturers options then you know, if you dont read it then its your own fault
what about putting a new one on, also can you just swap the silver bit in the middle (i have a new knob, but can you get the silver bit of without damage)
as title has anyone removed a 172/182 gearknob, if so how hard was it and how did you do it ?, also how do you fit a new one ?, does it just push in or are they glued
oh and i have just had the centre section changed on my new 182 (because of the same thing), and to be honest they just cut the exhaust and put a new centre bit in, they then bodge the backbox back on with a sh*tty clamp, this now leeks and is louder than the 4k rattle, if i were you i would get...
i had this on an old car when i lowered it, i tried to adjust the tracking but the bolts on one side were seized so i could only do one side, so hence the steering wheel was miles out after
its got something to do with the cup pack probably (suspesnion), as the steering wheel will have prob been set for normal 182 and when they fitted the suspension they forgot to adjust the steering wheel which gets altered by the tracking on the cup suspension, like he says porbably just need a...
there sh*te with px, try a private sale, they offered me 7k for a mint 10k miles 03 plate cup, that i sold privatley for nearly 9.5k, in the end i didnt buy from them because of that, but in the end i got new 182 for 10.5 k
yeh but you can pic up 182s for around 10k, i just wouldnt get the 172 really, i would rather have the ctr, although the 172 is good value for money ??
