The cable won't reach much of the Accelertor box and there are no other wires hanging around. My car doesn't have cruise if that helps

Sat in my car on the phone and notice a purple cbale Connector hanging down not connected to anything. Car won't start now. Imobilisor light goes out and when I turn the key I get a constant clicking sound from the glove box which I'm guessing is a relay. What is going on.
