Done a lot of research into the whole thing, been to some garages. Decided I'm going to go with it, the car felt good to drive and felt rock solid. I might get my mechanic to have a quick look over the engine to see if he might know what the noise is but if not ill leave it.. So HPI check...

I did consider an RAC or AA check originally, but the car seems fine apart from this slight noise, and I thought for the cost of the inspection which might not tell me anything anyway, I might as well put it towards the cost of a new part and fitting

Thanks rockers, hopefully a check with the indy will clear things up about all the belts and stamps. Worst case scenario, what happens if the belts snap when driving? Is that engine completely ruined? Looking forward to owning one and getting it out on a few track days :)
