I changed my cable and it cured mine :D . Not sayin it will cure yours but its cheaper than a clutch gotta be worth a try ! B****RD to change yourself tho !!
It is your battery mate mine was just the same swopped my battery and been fine since . It will still start the car ok and if you test the battery it come up fine on the test mine did too, but it WILL be your battery that is causing it:D
Mine had worn out and split. noise on mine was roll bar contacting on radius arm and cos they dry out that is the creaking noise . put your ear by the wheel arch and get someone to push down on the wing you should hear the noise .
Dunno what the part number is but there are four bushes on the front roll bar you want the two that fit on the ends of it the outer two they fit over the ends of the roll bar where it joins the arm like a cup . you can see them where they join the radius arm mine is a 172 ff dunno if 182 wiv cup...
Mine was just like the noise you have. I swopped the front roll bar bushes and now its fine, it was drivin me NUTS  !! Try it mate, cured mine they only bout £12 the pair from dealer.
Try your front antiroll bar bushes the outer ones where they join the front arms either swap em or grease em . worth a try, they only cheap . Cured mine.:D
Battery is your problem with resetting of your trip computer. battery will test ok tho if you test it mine did. It will also start ok but it does cause the resetting.
Bushes just dry out and creak. If they ok you can just grease them and refit em should cure the creaking. Mine were ok but changed them anyway . Now creak free :approve: (So i can now here all the other french rattles  !!)
My battery was the same too mate ,checked and tested it loads of times, car never struggled to start or showed any signs of a battery problem started off as an occasional problem then became more frequent mine started doing it when car was about 18mths old . I thought same as you, it can't be...
Lead head you need to drive the car for about a mile before any readings show on computer but if it is resseting when you start it up it is the battery although it wont turn over slowly or show any other signs
Mine did this too swopped the front roll bar bushes that go on the ends of the roll bar where it joins the arm about £12 from stealers. Mine is now sorted .:approve: Try this before you swop arms or ball joints it cured mine .
