That's not true. Some won't power on without both ignition and constant live. I've got constant live to mine in the fiesta but it won't power on until ignition, same as my parrot bluetooth.

Are the cables the ones with fuses in? Like a little push and twist connection? I'd check both fuses in those as it sounds to me like you don't have a constant live.

You can do but 00 grade is what people reccomend for polishing their exhaust.

200 Diffuser would set it off perfectly. And yeah, pick yourself some autosol and 00 grade wire wool up from halfrauds.

All I did was unplug the little switch for the time being. Meant to get a new one but never got round to it.

It's not to stop something coming through, it's in the event of a front end crash.
