I was advised against a low temp thermostat by my mate (whos a mechanic) as he said hed had a few clios in running rich, all of which were running low temp thermostats.
Apparantly, the ecu thinks the engine is not getting up to temp therefore richening the mixture.
IMO, a low temp fan switch...
Ive got an Alpine CDA7893R and the controls by the steering wheel are now useless.
Has anyone taken one of these off?
Will it leave a huge mess? i.e. is it better just to leave it on?

I thought there was only one gearbox mount but according to that there are two! (front & rear)

Also (sorry for hi-jacking your post) does anyone know how much the strengthen ones are from Hill Power?
Its the gearbox mount (think some people refer to it as the dog bone mount).
Got the same problem with mine.
Hopefully getting a strengthened one from Hill Power soon.
Get a K-Tec Racing power exhaust system & a silenced de-cat pipe.
Ive got this, but a straight through de-cat.
The car became a lot more driveable, and was noticeably quicker.
I had my car rolling roaded before and after. Power & Torque were only up a few but were both peaking 300rpm...
I think most companies demo cars are OTT, they need to be to stand out and to show what they can do.
I like it, wouldnt do it to my valver, but I still like it.

About the oil filter, if you order one for a valver it will be a b!tch to fit & take you ages to fit.
Get the one for the williams/megane 2.0, it is identical apart from having a nut on the back to tighten it with. Much easier to work with & will take about 2 minutes.

Well my brothers had a fair bit of engine work done & I think 139bhp is quite modest. I would have though it was a bit more like 145-150bhp.
Anyway, with 106.8bhp @ TW,
15% Loss = 122.8bhp
Only 2.8bhp more than standard and this car is a a fair bit quicker than standard.
I do think 30%...

How hard is it to take the wing mirror off? Im bit sceptical about doing it cos I dont think I could get it back together.
