    Welcome! I'm sure you've read/heard about them but the main thing would be check if its had the cambelt changed recently and by a reputable garage with correct timing tools etc, you want receipts to prove. That's the main expense really with these cars. If it hasn't been done recently...

    Clio will not start at all

    Sounds like what I had on my 172 a while ago. Was the immobiliser, the car wouldn't recognise the key (even though I'd been driving round in it that day). Had to get key reprogrammed in end iirc
