    Clio crash West Midlands.

I'd say 21 is old enough to know better...

Got the better half insured on my 182..

I'm with Admiral, it's cheaper having her on it (22, just passed) than it is with me on my own, added my mum or my dad... weird!

    Screwed

True, being in the middle it'll probably be fine. After seeing my last tyre that couldn't be repaired, I'm always a bit weary!

    Screwed

A decent place could repair that mate, but for performance you're better off repairing the tyre. The last time I went to have a tyre repaired they told me I oculdn't because it had been repaired a dangerous amount of times previous! Eeek!

    Bloody Mk2 lights!

Magic! Cheers Fub's, I'll give her a go tomorrow and rate your guide again! :D

    Ph-Quick :)

Looks nice, what tyres are they, makes the wheels look bigger! Lose the lights, and get some ph2's if you can stand the hassle of rewiring them! God I love these cars :D

    Servicing

As above all very well regarded and will be a damn sight cheaper than Renault-monkey prices. Mine's going to Alex on Tuesday, looking forward to getting a glimpse of the 5! :)

Got the better half insured on my 182..

Put mine on the insurance, lowers the premium and she's only just passed! I've found that she's realised how obsessive I am with the car and so is behaving herself so far, and it means I can drink on the weekends more! Once the novelty wears off it'll be me that drives it when I want to anyway.

    Clio crash West Midlands.

Don't want to sound mean, but: "the 21 year-old lost control" "The crash happened...in the early hours of Friday morning" It may be a genuine unfortunate accident, but I'm guessing excessive speed and/or alcohol were involved...

Advice on 172 Cup - Left standing for months

Should be okay, and for £5k something it's a bit of a bargain! Take it for a decent test drive first, make the seller aware of your concerns and get him to throw in tax / free service or something to put your mind at ease... Also, wat do you mean the interior needs some attention to tidy up...

    First Car

I thought that the policy holder didn't NECESSARILY have to be the registered keeper of the car if the policy holder was genuinely the main driver. IE Dad buys son a new car, registers it in Dad's name just to keep son on a bit of a leash but insurance is in son's name because he drives it all...

    were are you all ?

Check the 'Local Meetings' section mate, there'll be plenty of members your way and lots of chances to meet up. There are normally Area Reps that organise these things, so find out who your's is and get them arranging!

my lights have mind of their own

Lol, you've had the car for 6 months!?!
  17. A

    stiff throttle

Mine's always been that way, I've just gotten used to it! Sometimes I'll push on the throttle a bit, nothing, so I put a bit more pressure on and it clunks half way down, making me rev like a bugger!

    Got my first car

Not strictly a 'button' then is it!?! :rasp: Only messing, enjoy, looks alreet. :)

    Need helping Cleaning my 182!!!!!!!

Wonder wheels is probably your best bet mate, see how you get on with that first. Once you get them looking clean, stick a layer of wax on the wheels as well, will make them easier to clean in future. And, yeah, Carnuba wax is a must for a decent finish, normally applied best after another...

Another Clio Sport 172 mk1 form Slovenia

Looks better than I expected it to as well! Certainly nicer than the pervious multi's, nice work. :)

    Bloody Mk2 lights!

Lol, none taken... well, a little bit! ;) I'm intrigued as to how I missed these little clips now, I'll have a better look on Sat.

    Project Cage & Paint............(Complete)

Likin the white, must make the interior feel massive! :)
  23. A

    Bloody Mk2 lights!

Artistic genius! ;) TBH if I was working out how to change the wiring myself from scratch I'd probably notice the clip, but I have just kinda followed your guide word for word! Cheers Fubar, and I've PM'd you Day but hopefully that won't be needed now! :)
  24. A

    Bloody Mk2 lights!

Lol, not yet, I won't have a chance until Saturday because the missus needs the car for work and I don't get home until about half 9. I'll investigate on Saturday and let everyone know how I get on!
  25. A

    Bloody Mk2 lights!

I'm just using Fubar's pics, so not great angles, but do you mean actually under eachof the metal feet, towards the back?
  26. A

    Bloody Mk2 lights!

Ah right, so it's a way of helping you push the metal bits / wires out from underneath?
  27. A

    Bloody Mk2 lights!

So, in this picture... whereabouts are the plastic pins? Are they actually behind this plug, effectively on the left hand side of the picture?
  28. A

    Bloody Mk2 lights!

There are plastic pins at the back!?! I'll have a look for those...
  29. A

    Bloody Mk2 lights!

Yeah, am following the guide and have lifted the plastic flap right back, things still won't budge. I'll give it some more force next time!
  30. A

    Bloody Mk2 lights!

Lol, cheers mate, I'll persevere with it a bit longer. It does feel like I'm going to break something, and with it being important electrics I don't really want to do that! Will try again on the weekend...
