I should've expected this from Clio rear lights!
I'm in the process of trying to change my ph1 lights to ph2, and can remove the old lights comfortably, but can't for the life of me get the little 'pins' up to change over the wires, I've tried pulling the wires and also dislodging the metal...
AG Glass Polish is very good, but I wouldn't say it removes the lines caused where the wiper finishes (circular lines around the outside of the windscreen), think you'll need a more hardcore polish for those.
People do moan on here about reliability issues a fair bit, but not as much as people rave about the fun they have driving their cars. It's a cheap French hot hatch, it'll break down occasionally but you can rev the nuts off it and it'll keep coming back for more!
The only bit of that I've used is the glaze and I'm very impressed with that, but no, not really a waste of money as long as you don't keep buying new stuff every week!
I've been using Spray and Wipe on my dust and it does a good job, although swirls don't show up much on silver! Foolowed up with a few layers of my various waxes makes her look all shiny again!
You didn't decide to test drive the vRS then!?! ;)
I'm sorry, only joking. Good reviews, it's always nice to experience other, similarly priced cars, just to see what options there are. I think in a couple years when I need a bigger car, for depressingly obvious reasons, I'll be looking into a...
AGEGP will give you the right results, but it's more about preparation mate.
Decent car shampoo, clay and polish if your paint needs it, then something like EGP or P21s or Natty's.
Looks good, but a bodykit without lowering will look strange. If you're happy to spend all that cash on wheels, bodykits and also fitting/spraying costs, then at least shell out a couple hundred on getting some springs fitted. :)
I find with my 182 bumper, everything lines up fine but the very edges of the bumper don't come into line with the wing quite right and just stick out a little bit. That may just be the way it was fitted though...
But they come back intermittently, during advert breaks, etc. Also, because I currently haven't got Sky and can't receive Freeview, I haven't got that luxury!
Keep my looking nice for two reasons really:
1) I genuinely enjoy cleaning my car, something of a timewaster if I have an afternoon free and it beats getting bored on here or in front of the TV.
2) The better you look after it, then the better it will look when it comes to sell = higher...
Yeah, pixels, the word evaded me!
That's only what I've been told by my sister who works in Comet's customer service centre and says they get a lot of complaints from customers who've had pixels go dead but they can't do anything about it because the manufacturers are pretty tight when it...
Something to remember with LCD's is that, if the individual LCD's start to go, you need a certain amount of 'black spots' before the manufacturer considers it faulty, and it's something stupid like 20/30 LCD's.
So any ideas what's next Matt? I'd seriously recommend trying to keep with the Clio but maybe looking into some way of making it RWD or 4WD, but it's whether this solves the safety issue.
Yay, well done on the first car matey, always holds a special place!
Mods look good, but don't go throwing loads of money at it because I'll guarantee you'll fancy a change to something a bit newer / quicker in a year or so when the insurance comes down... 1.4's not a bad size engine to start...
