It's gutting but unfortunately unavoidable over the long-term... I picked up a new set of scratches on my front bumper today, following a nice red scuff on the rear bumper last Monday (which clayed out).
The only advice I can give is enjoy the car for what it is and don't worry about...
Lol, if he ran the garage then maybe!
So looking at your drawing Chris, would I need to get the cat cut out of the exhaust, and then fit a de-cat which could then be unbolted, with the original cat bolted back in?
Yeah, I fancy going loud now! My exhaust / IK combo gives off an awesome burble and sounds really meaty but I feel like being childish again and amplifying it!
I'm kinda mates with the guy that does my MOT's, so I'm sure he could change the cat over before putting it through the test... might...
With regards to clay, I tend to wash the car once, and then fill up a fresh bucket with shampoo / water and effectively do the same, except rubbing the clay on each section that I wash at a time, so the paint is really slick and the clay won't stick.
Then rinse it all off, dry with a drying...
The roof may have still been damp. I tend to wash and dry the whole car, and then wax all the other panels first and leave the roof to last, which gives it time to properly dry off... seems to avoid cloudiness that I used to get by doing it straight after drying.
Yeah Crazy Clio's, definitely my favourite modified car on here, I think he's also got a couple of features lined up with Max Poo'er and Redline, pending more of an interior.
Ooh, a new student for Rich to corrupt! He'll be along shortly!
There is a cleaning guide somewhere, but generally you want to:
Wash with decent car shampoo, using a 2 bucket method (so you rinse off in between) and using a wash mitt as opposed to sponge.
Clay the car, which you have to...
Cheers for the link, I live nearby so I may actually pop in and have a chat face to face. I can understand it being annoying if they've missed part of it out though, the whole effect loses its edge...
Looks good though mate :)
Repeated layers of NXt with P21s over the top has lasted excellently on mine.
Obviously I washed it and topped it up on Saturday/Sunday and haven't touched it since (including a 3hour motorway journey) and it still looks fantastic, with only flies across the front to contend with.
