EDIT - Sorry missed off price -...
1gig will be fine for most games but 2gig is definately recommended for the likes of Battlefield 2 and FEAR.
If you can afford it then there's no harm in going to 2gig.
Very true post..
Personally I can't see some peoples obsessions with benchmarks either. It's nice to know what you can acheive but constantly fiddling and updating drivers for that extra 1.2fps seems a bit excessive to me.
It's also funny to see people claim they have 300fps in Counterstrike...
With respect thats not exactly an accurate synopsis .. The dual xeon's may well do well in the cpu aspect/tests of 3dmark(0?) but as for gaming to say they are the best is simply incorrect.

6dB is generally regarded as the lowest SNR level with which DSL can remain connected.
Take into account I used the words "in theory" above. In you live in the sticks in reality any LLU supplier (current 8mb+ service providers) wouldn't even bother enabling your exchange and ADSL2+ over...
It means that providing the line doesn't drop in quality and/or attenuation levels don't increase any more then using 6dB as a SNR "cut off" you should, in theory, be able to attain 10944kbps down (that would be ADSL2+ obviously).
Gives you additional maps, additional fighting forces and additional wepaons. Ranking system include new ribbons and medals specifically for SF.
New weapons can be unlocked in BF2 SF and then used in the vanilla game.
Anyone who lived 6 miles from an exchange would not get 6.5mb at all...
ADSL standards support 8mb upto 10,500ft LINE LENGTH and above 13,000ft 4mb is just about physically possible.
At 6 miles you'd be lucky to get ADSL at all as the Attenuation levels and SNR would be so probhibitive at...
It would probably cost about £100 to get a new aerial fitted.
As Sky starts at £150 a year including free box and installation, not to mentioned loads more channels even on their basic package I don't know why you don't just get Sky.
It's 8mb (including overheads so 8meg is your sync speed NOT your actual download speed which is slightly less at arround 6.5mb - 7mb) and 512kB/s up (not 512mb ;) ) on Bulldog.
I use Ukonline 16.5mb down and 750kB/s up.
Mine has started playing up. Took some photo's of my mates birthday piss up and they were all fine the next day. Went to show my mate on Friday night and half of them hade dis-apeeared/corrupted.
I was with Bulldog for 2 months. The connection was fine but as Wozzaa says is something goes wrong you're royally bum f**ked.... Plus they require you to take a Bulldog phone line....
Put simply a CABNE 0540 with a DFI Lanparty "should" be good for 2.5/2.6/2.7ghz on stock cooling. Add the fact this Opty has a 1mb cache i'd personally much prefer this to a 3000+ winnie.
