My valver likes to let water in, Think its down to the door seals being past there best. but my carpet and seats are out so im going to try the hose pipe trick.;)

Mines had a snapped spring, fooked clutch and cat in my first year and this year drive shafts, column, fuel pump and suspension, but the gearbox has just gone. It takes all my cash but i still love it. sound like mines a bit of a shed tho:@;) IMO they are reliable, but when they do break...

If the polish doesnt get it of try using some 1000 and 2000 grain wet and dry on it then polish it back to new.

Any metal polish ie Peak or other good polish brand
