Depends what the roads are like where you live I guess. The roads where I live are shocking and my 172 feels crashy and skittish due to all the pot holes etc.

Ditto. Used my pressure washer about three times and its not been out of the garage since. I just fit a smaller nozzle on the hosepipe to up the pressure a bit.

I average about 280-300 miles per tank (hence why I think the mpg reading of the trip computer is a bit optimistic). Best Ive ever had is 400 mile, that was on a trip to whitley bay including a bit of town driving. Trip said 43 mpg, which is nice!!

Yup, its because yours is an early model. That is the same set up as the 172. On later models the climate control sensor fan was removed and replaced with a small temperature sensor. i think it was due to a number of faults with the fans.
