Thats probably true for most lads your age. It was the same for me too. I just get the feeling your asking for a lot to get anything resembling a reasonoble quote on a group 16 car when youve never had your own insurance and youve been driving less than two years. You should have got your own...
I said not aimed at anyone in particular. Im not disputing whether or not your a good driver, the cold facts show that young lads under 21 are ten time more likely to crash their car and generally drive like a tw*t than any other age group. Thats why insurance premiums for lads your age is so...
Im sorry, but what do you expect trying to insure a group 16 car at 20?? With a speeding fine and never having had your own insurance!!!??? What did you expect??!! lmfao!!!
Do you think driving for nearly 2 whole years classes you as being an experienced driver??
You must be mad. I would...
Sad but true ^^^ 11k would be about top whack. Its Renaults barmy pricing policy. As far as joe bloggs is concerned, you can get the same car for 11,800 from a car supermarket, or £12,200 if bought online via a broker. Heart braking I know...
Only one of these. Although mines in bits. Only 15,000 miles on it. Ill put it back together one day. lol.
1972 Triumph TR6. 2.5 Straight Six. 150 bhp 4 speed with overdrive . Sounds wonderful. Mine has a white hood and Jaguar wire wheels...
Apart from maybe first, I change before the light comes on.... the power seems to be tailing off pretty quick by the time the light comes on in my 172. Works in fifth though.:o
I knew I was right ...lol... I didnt have the data that Rich has, but ive driven both and knew there was a difference. Nice one Richy, at least I know Im not going mad!!
So basically what your saying is if you need to use it, youve miss-judged the bend and went in too hot. So if your a bad driver youd be better off with a Mk1?;)
Its not exactly difficult to make the Mk2 oversteer either....
The Mk1 I drove understeered a LOT quicker than my mk2 does. Maybe...
Strange. My Mk2 172 handles far better than the Mk1 I drove??!! Springs and dampers were uprated for MK2 and it shows imho..... and the 5th in the Mk1 is like reverse...lol
Get zorst of the missus for now, wait for H&R coilover kit for 182 and buy that yourself. Sorted. One sweet looking, sweet handling, sweet sounding rapid 182.
Tough one.... although imho, the Cupped 182 handles brilliantly anyway, but sounds gash. Might free up a few extra ponies too...
On the other hane, the 182 does sit a little high for some peoples tastes so a subtle drop would also aid handling aswell as appearance.
Personally, Id go for the...
Ive driven an FRS, Mondeo TDCi, Focus TDCi, Focus ST170, Fiesta Zetec amongst others. These are all friends cars and every one has had more reliabilty or build quality issues than my 172.
Im not going back to days gone by when all fords were rubbish, or taking silly acronyms as gospel, Im...
Thought it might be.... but who does 30-50 in fourth in a 172/182??
Cant fault the diesels really though. So easy to drive fast. No work required from the driver at all. Just a shame some drivers think they the fastest thing on earth (Passat TDi and Mondeo TDci drivers are the worst...
