This isnt exactly the first quick Volvo either!! Look out for all those old 850s and 960s - many come with 220bhp plus 2.3s or 3.0 24v straight sixes. Not so clever on the bends (though rear wheel drive), but pretty effing quick where it counts - 30 to 70...

The only problem I had was with a fuel line going to my facet power boost valve. Came loose, but then it may have been left loose as Ive had the engine taken out about four times in the last 6 months.
God, if Wizards of NOS was my business, Id prepare for a downturn in demand!
No matter how factually correct the statements may be, or how enfuriating it must be to see people speak with authority about something you know more about, that is NOT the way to win business!
Id probably rather...
Lofty - I went on that road a few weeks ago and its OK - but what you really need to do is come over to Wales. Go to mid-Wales, and i can tell you where all the magazines do their tests.
P.S. I thought that my car was feeling a bit slow when I went on those roads to keynsham. I thought...
Im afraid that Renault are the only option - although I heard that HillPower do some uprated ones (?).
Was that a fitted price or not. Doesnt sound like it unfortunately.
Wow!! Where did you get the price from??
Is that £1000 for the kit, fitting and painting - or just for fitting/painting? If so, how much is the kit by itself??
If the whole project costs under £2000 Ill VERY seriously consider it as Im about to run into some cash.
It would look...
After I lowered my old 1.2, I had a really weird creak that came from the passengers side rear area when I went around roundabouts. No mechanic could find what it was. Guess its just French build for you!
To be honest, the wide arch kits look truly, utterly gorgeous on the 16v/Williams. Theyre not "bad-boy" - just aggro, but at the same time subtle. I envy your position: having cash to spend on the body. I desperatley would love to do the same to my Valver (have a look on the gallery - its...
Its becuase a its a small car! The original Clio 16v for example is easy to get up to 120 - but you could grow a beard in the time it takes to get to its max of 130.
If youre running 17s and the rolling radius (total size) of the wheels is bigger than your old wheels, then your speedo will...
Yep - its expensive business maintaining your 16v. You might as well spend the extra on an uprated clutch as the engine-out process will cost at least £250 for a 1991-96 Clio 16v. I went for a Williams clutch - it should last that little bit longer if youve got modifications such as head/cams...
Sorry! That should read "As for the 5T...the chances of finding an interior in good nick are slim"!!!
Ask Ben R about brake callipers from the 16v - think hes done it to his RT.
Williams interiors are rarer than rocking horse poo! Remember - under 1200 were made altogether in the 1, 2 and 3 series. Leather is a similar case - not many cars to start with!
As for the 5T - Im not sure youd want the interior from one. Most are over 10 years old now and the chances of...
GRRR!!!!
OK - I know the 1.2 has "16v" written on the side, but as far as Im concerned, the legendary 16v has supreme right to that title - as does the less legendary Clio 2 16v (later 1.6 RSi/Dynamique).
Its not my say to tell anyone what to call their car, but youll mislead a lot of...
Dont know where Fast car got the bit about 16v arches being tight - thats a downright lie!!! Maybe they had the regular Clio in mind.
I had my car lowered the other week and went for -35mm on the front and -20/25mm on the back. Its ace now. I kept the 16/205/45 wheels that were on the car...
