Was always going to happen tbf. People got a bit ott about the build quality when the mk3 emerged. Stopping a dash rattling isn't the best indicator of overall build quality, in typical Renault fashion bits start to go wrong after a couple of years. And the dealers are woeful at sorting issues!
I remember when this happened to Mr Ecclestone:

Average Joe picks one up, and the car makes him look like a hero. Very little skill required, just bury you foot and let the computers sort it. So when they do get out of shape, they don't know what to do.

Eibachs, but they don't go 30mm low iirc. I've had lots of setups on 172's (eibach pro and sport, ast, h&r, kw v2's). For road and occasional track use, standard dampers with either eibach options and a whiteline arb would be great.
If monies no object, kw v2's are perfect. More than h&r's.
