I know mate, the pics dont really show any of the other euro credentials, it also has tanned leather which is standard on that model but still adds to the theme
thats a bit harsh isnt it just because it hasnt got bucket fulls of bodge hanging out its back end doesnt mean it isnt euro
Its smooth, slammed and riding on a cool as f**k set of rims........id say thats definately euro style
Its definately iceburg silver matey, just double checked on original bill of sale
Its a nice silver with in some lights a tinge of blue, my camera is crap on my phone so I can never express its propper colour
Mine is a 2001 y reg and its only 120 quid every 6 months to tax
Lovely looking car mate,
Mine is the same colour/year/reg as yours so does this mean its some sort of rarity???
I would still be interested in some bits off yours if your interested in putting some things back to standard
Re: 172 with an unknown direction
Thats the plan, Im just going to drive it and see what improvements I want to make
I have a good idea of the things I want in my head but I still want it to remain a good drivers car
Re: 172 with an unknown direction
done a few more things to the clio over the last week
Ive fitted:
Brand new Backbox (old one fell off after 1 days ownership)
New Window Regulator/motor (broke within the 1st day) :(
PH2 rear lights with silvervision bulbs
Silvervision front indicator bulbs...
im glad someone speaks the truth
White and silver doesnt go, silver, RB and green/yellow really doesnt go either
If the wheels were grey, black or silver it would look spot on, or if the side strips and Mirror caps were colour coded and the wheels were that colour it would look spot on but not...
Re: 172 with an unknown direction
Well as stated above ive been machine polishing the clio with a PC and its came up quite well
Hope you like, hopefully the improvements will be coming in soon :)
thanks for looking
P.s Pics off fone...I really need a decent camera :(
im very jealous, wanted a black ph1 for ages and couldnt find out for a decent price so bought a decent history silver one instead :( .....I want a respray lol
gorgeous girl :P haha
Some boy pal, you really do need to buy a paper or something and read that instead :P or maybe order your FCS ticket, thats more productive....
is the filter you've put on an ITG item??? If so how if any difference have you noticed as I imagine mine needs a service (ph-quick) and I want to upgrade it to an ITG element
some nice pics there, love the one of inside the shop, top class photography that mate :)
Sorry i turned up 4 hours late, went to work for a bit double time pay :D, my car was manky anyway, got straight home after ne detailing and used the porter cable machine polisher on my bumpers and boot...
I have a ph1 172 and have to say if I could have one I would either just buy a sunflower 172 or a ly 182, something about the yellow, I couldnt just have a more common colour if I was to get one it would definately have to be individual
They're all lovely cars but there isnt much difference in...
Yeah I know where your coming from mate, Im just stating that for hand correction for swirls my findings with the 3m handglaze have been the best. It does take a long time and effort but not as good as a machine polisher
I just stated claying as If it were a car that had never really been...
so you're saying that you can go straight into cutting the paint without first claying it???
I would've thought the clay would have got a lot of the crap out of the paint first of all, before then attempting to remove swirls
Also saying the handglaze will not remove swirls is utter nonsense...
hence why i clearly stated HANDGLAZING, which gets rid of the swirls, you could go straight to waxing after that if you wanted but the polish, like you say would fill any other scratches (probably quite harsh ones)
This would work a lot longer than a few washes as you would be waxing it which...
clay bar then get some 3m hand glaze, go up and down, then side to side motion,
only go in straight lines as well, same idea as machine polishing but you wont get as good'a result as you would with a machine polisher, but will still elliminate the majority of the swirls
It is vital that you...
Re: 172 with an unknown direction
hey thanks mate hopefully it will all go as planned, got a lot of bodywork to tidy up but most of that is getting sorted during the machine polishing
Will have some better pics up of it when my mate gets a new lense for his SLR
