You can get the ball joint on it's own, is it really necessary to replace ball joints in pairs?

Keep a legal set on the car! Velcro pads and a "nice" set in the boot for shows/photos - takes 30 secs to swap :)

Exactly what I'm thinking! When I had something done a while back 2 of my bolts were cross-threaded in the hub and snapped when trying to get them out! Had to get the bloody hub re-threaded to get the wheel back on The 2 cross-threaded bolts made the wheel appear to be fitted tight but when...

Me too - got a pair on Ebay last summer but they were the cheap vinyl-ed ones covered in lacquer - all starting to peel now with stonechips :dead:
