how is the fan belt tightened on a mk2 172 ? its only slight but just wanted to get rid of the noise and the car will be perfect . poped the bonnet but could not see any way of getting to it to do so ? please help. Justin.

please help! i'm looking at buying a 172 and i have got a viewing on sunday. But the car doesn't have an ESP button on the dash/control panel to the right of the steering wheel! what does this mean? Does it need an ESP button to have traction control? I have had superfastdan check the car...

ok need some more advice 2002 full fat in monaco , mint , 28k , 11 months mot, 4 months tax, serviced 4k ago. was 7.1k have knocked them down to 6.5 k good deal ?

well it would be the 48k service if im correct but it will be 5 years old this year so i pressume its the cambelt service , if it is the cambelt service that he has done at 48k then should i offer 5.7k ?

well he has said 5.5k with out the service done , or 5.9k with it done. what do you think ?

:o think the main problem was little or no coolant in the exspnsion tank to be honest

sorted all that tonite , bled the system etc will check on it over the next few days see how things go.

nope, it had all the fluids changed about 2.5k ago by an audi garage.
