As Illusion said 100mph is an instant ban - unless you have exceptional circumstances which you would have to make in your appeal to the judge etc - even then you can get banned minimum of 28 days BUT...
Back to the facts - 98 in a 70 will give you 3pts and £60 - Id bet a pint on it.
Heheh WannabeeCup - yeah Rally Cup en-route. Lots coming along nicely for it! Glad the info has been helpful.
James - after we discussed it I had to spend the cash and do it. Its now just trult remarkable and when we do the next South East thrash - its going to rock!
Ok so ive got a Cup 172 and Im looking to find a really smart rollcage for it.
I spoke to Safety Devices last week but they dont do one for the Cup sadly so would have to custom make it. Leaving me car-less for 1-2 weeks and robbing me of £1,600 +VAT.
Any other alternatives? I see that OMP...
Wannabe, drop me a PM if you want any other details mate. Can do any number of pics too. Cheers on the intake - I love it! Had the car since Feb 2003 on a Sep 2002 car, so about 18mths now.
With regard to Ians question about harnesses - you may notice I have kept the OEM seat belts in place...
WannabeeCup - bit like Mastermind this! Your chosen subject is Race Interiors your have 60 seconds starting now!
Ok..
Q. Can i ask how much it cost, for the whole lot?
A. Seats are £111.04 EACH, Adjustable Subframes are approx £50 EACH, harnesses are £50 EACH and shoulder straps (pairs)...
Hehe thanks Lunner and Toypop for your responses. :)
Toypop, I would sit lower in the car than normal if I didnt have adjustable subframes. I think for this reason I sit at the same height as before or only marginally lower - not exactly sure tbh. Cant be much in it though.
Yeah keeping the...
I have to say from my initial observations the harnesses are just out of this world. As Dogmaul says the confidence in the car has grown massively you can really really push it around and you have such greater trust and feeling through the wheel and the chassis its amazing.
When you push hard...
This is a well discussed topic Ian and I honetsly dont think we should bring it back up as its going to cause serious ruptions (again).
Each to there own though I guess - One persons shed is anothers castle.
Ok so my Sabelt harnesses arrived a few weeks back. Having not had much energy as you all most likely know I put off doing them until I had some spare time.
However... that was until yesterday when both seats came out - my mum repaired my drivers seat (nice one mum) and we re-fitted them along...
Unlucky to hear your woes there maff, any idea what happened? "ended up being pushed across roundabout" so were you hit from behind or did you smack someone?
Confused!
Im not a V6 Mk2 owner so maybe speaking out of turn but your FR (front engined, rear wheel drive) S2000 will handle different to the Clio as that is MR (Mid enginered -rear wheel drive).
I think you will have to adapt your driving style to suit this Rob. :)
Sensational performance from an attention seeking car. 2 years on and loving mine more than ever before. Done 40,000 miles now and it just gets better and better.
