So yesterday I see a Clio I want to buy & contact the seller- its a private sale & so I spend a good hour on the phone going through bits as its over 5 hours away-
We agree a price as all seems ok & I confirm about 5 times that we are agreed on sale-
So, I jump onto my virgin trains...
Prob low to mid 20's
My Focus ST did 15 MPG on spirited drives & I once spunked 10 Quid on petrol to race my Cooper S over a SEVEN mile round trip- im not sure on the MPG of that but its fookin low-

Car looks ok A few bits to help you along-
You have to consider the car as 'Cosmetic' & 'Mechanical' & cover all aspects to check the car-
Cosmetics-
Go over the car panel by panel, 43k Miles could be harsh on the bonnet & bumper or ok depending on how its been driven-
Check the front...
I was abusing the AA's kind trailor facilities......
Annual Subcription for the AA never used & the car had to go to wiltsure for new disks so I got the AA to trailor me for free..... ;)
Saving me countless ££££ in petrol & ensuring the safety of the car..

Ive had a Sh*ite day & to top it off the car I have hasnt got the locking wheel nut- just the four poxy nuts in the renault box...:mad:
I know garages charge around 40/50 quid to chisle them off-
However I have the code- from the box- FER ***** ( 5 digits)
Im assuming renault will replace...
TBH this thread has run its life now- there is plenty of accurate comments from the forum members- some being traders & one owning his own garage!!!
Simple- Pay £10 & join & stop wasting time on the autotrader + ebay ads-
