I had this, you can hold the revs at one point around 4000 (4200 in my car) and the centre section resonates. Turned out to be a loose baffle. I'm baffled! Dont understand the exhaust side of things yet.
Going to get fixed wednesday at renault.
dell are the best bet, laptops are starting at 420 with 1.something GHz, 40GB 512MB RAM, Wifi, not bad for the money.
I bought a sony widescreen with the x-black display, its excellent for the film, plus ultra thin for carrying around.
Go to currys, buy the whatever happens protection and...
found out what it was.
It resonates around 4200 rpm, sounds like a circular saw. It's a loose baffle in the exhaust. Not sure what that is.
Getting it fixed wednesday.
Loads of money and time. Plus it would be unique. chavs spend more than this on bodykits and neons.
I think I am gonna save up for exhaust and power mods first. If I still have the car in a few years, might convert to 4WD.
Havent got £600 at the moment.lol.spent my money on the smt6.
But its alot for replacing good throttle control, I would rather just use my own skill.
4WD sounds like its not gonna be cheap then.
Not too sure about the traction control with the misfiring, will read up more on it first.
I think launch control is a good idea. Will speak to GDI next time I am down there, but it costs nearly £600!
Will it work with my SMT6? Or is it only hooked up to spark plugs/injectors?
Is it possible/easy/cheap to convert let's say my phase 2 172 to 4 wheel drive.
There is too much power going through the wheels when road surface condition is less than perfect. I just want to be able to floor it from stand still and go, without having to be too fussy with throttle control.
I...
I would go for exhaust, cos its gonna fail eventually. Get a viper + remap as well.
exhaust £300 , new viper £200 , smt6 + remap £600, bit over but good for better driveability.
:(
I have had it up on ramp in kwik fit and my mate said the baffle or whatever has gone in the exhaust. So said I should take it back to renault for replacement.
It sounds fooking awful, I was wondering what it was for ages, but its definitely the exhaust. Its getting worse, only used to...
Does hitting the limiter cause damage, not sure it does. As I understand it, it limits fuelling or something to prevent more revs to engine. It does slow you down if you are going for quick 0-60-100 times.
