After taking a 2 year break from the South West hillclimb and sprint scene, I finally decided to get my arse in gear and go to Werrington, but for the first time I wouldn't be there with a car, so I wouldn't need to nip out of the pits to take photos and just watch cars going up the hill, I...
Yes! Awesome.
Used to have a Driving Force Pro but now rolling G25, and loving it. Sometimes add a Logic3 joystick for handbrake but not very often. I also end up driving keyboard a lot because I often can't be arsed to set everything up.
I'm a major Live For Speed addict, but I do also play a...
Names I've turned up so far are South West Wheel Repair in Exeter and a fella called Jamie Wales in Callington.
I've heard of SWWR before actually, I'd probably go with them.
Really nice spec on that. Looks great ;)
As above, wet and dry on the headlights followed by Megs Scratch X 2.0 is what I did to restore my lights, makes a huge difference.
But LFS has H-pattern + clutch shifting too, although the clutch is pretty dire. If you've driven (and stalled) paddle clutches you know the feeling.
Is it just me or does the Exige have a LOT of understeer issues?

We sat there for a while, and I've been back there a couple of times since. The lane is very very rarely used, and didn't even appear on my Satnav.
Whilst I did consider going right away from a road it would either mean a) driving a lot of lowered clios offroad or b) being a long way from the...
I personally felt that Live For Speed provided more feedback at the limit as to what the car's doing. It also felt more comparable to driving a real car. It'll be interesting to see if they are updating the physics though as I think that may push it past LFS once and for all.
i need to see if...
Split spoke wheels and coilovers on a Clio = WOW WANT OMFGG.
Split spoke wheels and coilovers on a Golf = Looks s**t. Ruined it.
CS.
(And yes my car does look s**t.)
I do like the idea that most of the people above love Clios on F1's but hate this. If it ain't OEM it's s**t IIRC.
That said it'll be much better when you sort the suspension out.
Welcome ;)
Plenty of us kicking around in the south west, especially Plymouth. Check out the meets section - be good to see you at the next Barn Owl meet.
Any pictures?
This. It's scary just how good they are and how easily you can hit silly numbers.
Whilst I personally don't want one, I have a huge deal of respect for the Supra.
