Engine doesn't have to come out. Some say removing the subframe is quickest, and i'd agree if you've got a ramp and air tools. On the driveway with axle stands, i take the box out of the top. Don't have to touch the subframe then.

I wouldn't be replacing the UCH- it's likely to be much simpler. Try another switch as they're temperamental- you could have bought a duff replacement! Check wiring. Do the indicators work?

Exhausts are different lengths due to cat changes. Most aftermarket ones have a sliding joint which is adjustable at the cat end allowing for fitment to both.

General consensus is you'll be fine with RST.
