Yeah, I have a small detailing brush, fits perfectly between the lettering on my badges. I use Meg's QD and it seems to help, but then it's just a case for maintenance for me, i.e I'm not removing months/years of build up.
I thought that the Trophy was awesome, one of, if not the, nicest car there. Loved the bonnet. It's turned out to be an expensive night - I'm heading to JMS on Tuesday, and after seeing some of the cars in action, I can safely say I'm probably going to try and spend more money than planned :(...

I bought that one, just select the fitment you need (i,e Karcher) and away you go.
I'm sure that there will be swirling, if how you describe the general condition of the paintwork is anything to go by. The best way to check is to shine a light on the bodywork, you should see faint swirling better underneath it.
Polishes won't be affected by car colour - polishes differ in abrasiveness, not colour toning.
Waxes are the field where you'd look at getting a colour-specific product.
Can't wait for this game. LOVED MoH:AA on the PC, which is always the format I'll prefer to play 1st person shooters on. Hoping that the new MoH is as quality as Allied Assault was.
True, but I find it easier to spot the panels that need more attention while claying when the car is dry. That might be due to having a black car, I can see the sum of f**k all when it's wet :(
Can vouch for the heavy clutch/steering - And getting used to it.
I'd personally be gutted going from a Focus ST to a 182 though, but if you have to downsize, then a 182 isn't a bad shout at all :)
Definitely make sure you have good lubricant for your clay. You'll be risking marring to your paintwork without it.
I'd also look at getting some microfibre drying towels from I4D too, they're infinitely better than chamois.
You CAN skip sealant, though if you're planning on giving the...
If you were asking me, I use:
Poorboy's Black Hole (Glaze)
AG EGP (Seal)
Poorboy's Natty Paste Wax - I originally had Meggy's NXT wax, but found it to be a bit sh1te, tbh.
1. Pre-wash (Snow foam if you have some) / Clean Wheels, Shuts, Arches
2. Rinse
3. Wash (2 bucket method)
4. Rinse (Open hose seems to be the best option, sheets the water off nicely)
5. Dry
6. Clay (Lube it up!)
7. Re-wash / Dry
8. Polish / Clean Trim / Interior
9. Glaze
10. Seal
11...
It seems to be a product that you'd only use on specific areas of the car, i.e areas that require attention in terms of swirling and scratches. I use polish in the same way tbh, I don't necessarily use it on every panel, unless it would merit it. I prefer to use glazes all over really, such as...
Bumpage.
But yeah, i4detailing.co.uk are awesome...My only complaint was that my sticker was stained where the snow foam had burst open a little in transit (f**king couriers!) so I had to throw it away :( I've ordered before that time but never gotten a sticker, so the loss hurt a lot :(
Yeah, I use Bilberry's too. Awesome stuff. I don't dilute it by much either, and doesn't seem to do much damage.
I've just spent a good bit of money getting some stuff to clean my motor, as above I used i4detailing.co.uk and cleanyourcar.co.uk - I'd recommend them both, they're top notch...
