I'll leave it for a week or so then, like I said, there were no other lights, and there's no Limp Mode or anything (well, there might be, I've only gone to work, which is only 7 miles away, and the car isn't warm enough to really go above that!) so it might well be fine. My only other thoughts...
Thanks mate, I did think it was a bit odd that it would come on after an oil change, I couldn't figure out why it'd do that. I haven't done anything else to the car, but I'll have to get it looked at by a fault reader/diag then :-/
Hi guys, I had a quick search, but to no avail :(
Basically, I carried out an oil change on my 182 last night. Aside from the problem with changing the oil filter (it was fastened so tightly during it's last change that a chain strap couldn't remove it, the only way I could get it off was...
I did mine this morning before work, started it just after 7am. Was cold, but got it done, could only manage 1 layer of wax though. I kept some clay in warm water, in a watering can, before I needed to use it, so that definitely helped.
I did find that Collinite 476 (used it for the first time...

Saw a BG182 with a slaughtered front end parked up on the hard shoulder of the M40 Southbound, between junctions 4 and 5. Looked bad, hope it was just the car that was injured!
Only ever seen one, and that was on the M25. Not exactly plush with 172/182's round here either, though there are a couple, they are rare (in comparison to other Renaults, and in fact cars like VXR's and ST's)
Hi folks - Is this football / golf thing still going on every now and then? Need to get fit, sounds like my scene - if it's in Staines it's literally 5 minutes from my GF's uni house too!

Opie Oils sell service packs, I've just bought an oil change pack from them, they send you all you need.
But I'll echo the above regarding the belts, if you have no concrete proof that they've been changed within the timescales (36k miles / 5 years) then you need to do so ASAP. And when you...
Not sure what JMS would do, but I can personally vouch for them not taking your car out and thrashing it, if that's what you're worried about. If you're lucky, and go there, you'll see their cars, and you'll understand that they'll have no interest in taking yours out :)
Well, it was from a non-Renault trader - I asked about the belts, and he said that he thought they'd been done, given it'd had a large service within a year ago. There was a Renault dealer service stamp at around the 5 year mark, but nothing in the service book under Cambelts. He was...
I know what you mean. I bought mine in February for £5,500, and it had no evidence of the belts being done. That was another £500. Since then I've changed the front tyres, bought new exhaust mounts, and I'm about to give it a full oil change. I also want to get a new exhaust, which will be...
