blow torch would be better mate. not sure if that will create enough heat really. blow torches can be found quite cheap.
which bolt you struggling with?
It's supposed to reduce vibration, but mine made no difference when out. Just take it out. You have to remove the DS engine mount to get to the bolt holding it on.
lightweight exhaust and alloys?(cat is a double one on the ph1 no? just get a straight through stainless) carbon fibre bonnet? remove acoustic valve and engine hoist points.
do you definately not have the RS stamped ones? Had mine ported and there is minimal gains. I recon around 3bhp and 5torque (had different mods on too when on the RR). Mine were RS stamped, so minimal gains from modding. The early ph1 ones are supposed to respond better to porting as the casting...
hmmm, not sure it that would do much as the clip holds it in tight anyway? strange you had to do there though. so long as they're ok now that's the main thing. make sure you bed them in properly and you'll love them.
You mean the bit that touches the piston? :S that could be why it was squeeking, might not be completely flush. did you not push them back in to the caliper before putting the new pads in?
Any car will do this. the lighter the worse it will be. also depends how fast you're going. also if you have been using tyre gel that might also cause it.
strange this jon, shims are definately out? mine don't really squeel at all. only ever so slightly when slowing down to a stop ie. junction etc. but only at slow speeds. Never needed filling either, just removed the shims and they were fine.
they shouldn't squeel when not braking though :S...
presumably the sprinter is diesel? so will be different anyway, but due to the clio electronic throttle, there is a slight lag. mainly on accelleration, but nothing majorly noticable really.
breather mods don't make much difference no matter what you go for really. I found that with my K&N cone that it sucked oil out the crank breather (more than standard) and chocked the engine a little. V6 airbox when i've tested mine seemed to work just as good as the standard setup, maybe a...
dyno's are all going to read different as said. the key really is to keep the variables to a minimum by having before and after runs when modding. Even if the first figure is high/low you'll still know what gains you have.
Unless everyone on her goes over to Paul on the same day with the same...
