It's not a monopoly as such, they went about it in a clever way. The option is there to buy your music else where, take it else where to get repaired, buy your product else where, use other people's software on it. But they made it too convenient not to do everything within the apple company...

Serious note, just because the sensors were done last feb doesn't mean they still work. Try a fault code reader if you know someone local with one.
You can get hold of apple parts, I do these myself. But the costs of parts is pretty close to £100 for the back and front then + labour. For £100 it will be dodgy parts voiding your warranty (if you have any left). I suggest stump up the £140 for the proper replacement.
Didn't realise he had written one. Will order that as it will definatley make a good read, not a fan of autobiographies but I do like ones where people have had "interesting" lives. Like Clapton's, amazing read.
