Sorry, misread it.
It could have been ripped off on a kerb or more likely the dealer never fitted it in the first place. There have been a lot of members whos cars didnt come with them attached, or they were still on the back seat.

I did mine with Zymol Titanium wax last year and its still got a great coat of wax on it now. Plus it left my hands lovely and soft. lol

That sounds about right Dave.
He bought it crash damaged and repaired it. IIRC the car is an import from Hong Kong. When the car was sold over there BenR fitted the body kit I think.
