Yeah but in a 172/182 the idle speed is higher so you keep catching the car in front forcing you to clutch in again. The 1.2 idles slower.
My 172 stalled quite easily. lol
Yeah, its getting the exhaust sorted again. Figured it was best to let them have it all day so they can be sure its 100% right. I pointed out they could compare it to the one in the showroom to make sure its correctly fitted. lol
And today Ive got one.

Its much nicer to drive to work than the 182. All that stop start in traffic is much easier in a 1.2.

One of my old 306s did that...
Get hold of a copy of this months Evo magazine. In it the put the Fiesta ST against the 182 Cup, C2, Mini Cooper S and Ibiza FR.
In the review they comment how the ST was designed to compete against the 206GTi, but they werent going to include it in the test as basically, its crap and...
That would be a handy feature, it would save me having to remember to switch the garage light off!
I find in snow the TC doesnt do much, on ice however theres no substitute for clutch control, TC isnt smooth enough.
Ive tried all 3 of those.
I found the Contis on my 172 to be very good. Not massive amounts of grip but very predicable and reasonably hard wearing. I didnt have any problems with them.
I replaced all 4 with Eagle F1 GS-D3s when I needed new fronts. These gave grip in bucket loads but...

what do you think it will cost to swop!
If I did it now not a lot. Mine is currently worth a little less than I paid for it, however F & F isnt as much as it was so the car will be more. Plus Id add the recaros. lol
Id not do it without a F & F, Id be throwing away what I saved on this one.
No matter what I look at I cant find anything brand new which does what the Clio does. It entertains me every time I drive it.
Obviously an Elise or VX would be a year or two old.
Yeah, its going at around 12 months old most likely.
Looked at CTRs and still dont like them. I also looked at Elise and VX220s but the insurance on the Elise was silly money. That was for cars around £17k.
So I provided the sums add up Ill chop this one in for a new one.
