On some springs you can just jack the car up and leave the shocks connected and lever the springs out.

In the metal, it actually looks pretty OEM, hence it not being a huge priority. I'm a bit apprehensive to be painting anything on it if I can help it! Won't be doing any irreversible mods. May get a touch lower if I find some decent coilovers, but I'm in no rush!

You just have to hold the engine up enough to wiggle the sump out. No need for slam panel or subframe bolts to be touched. It's fiddly, but doable.
