Got these all round yesterday for £104 a tyre (205/40/17). (managed to get these this cheap cause someone made a mistake).ALL I can say is that they have tranformed the car. It doesnt pull on the steering under accelleration. They have supreme grip in the dry. I cant get over how much they bite...

No the gear surround is differnet on mk1 and mk2 172s as it is on all specs. this is beacuse the dash was totally redesigned for the new shape.

Well I had a bump with renault ins. on my last car. took it in with it lowered and they never mentioned anythin. I did put the standard alloys back on.

Just lower than yours GR. 2k. 52reg Sept2002 extreme. Just sold 51reg (Nov 2001) Dynamique 15500miles. Thats 17500 and the years not over yet. Scary!!!!!!

Where was the powerflow dealer that fitted it the same day??? I spoke to TOPGEAR Burnley and they said the earliest they could fit me in was Oct 14th and that was over a week ago.

So, If I get hold of a set of Xenons off a 172 can I fit them with very little effort???

In a previous thread r.e. tinting you mentioned a local tinters. As I remember you live in St Helens. Any info on this would be really useful as I want this done soon and somewhere local would be really ideal. Cheers Adam.

Evilshredder, I also ran my clio in- 500 miles. However, the general consensus including from renault is that you dont have to bother. I did it for piece of mind.

As Xenon is an option on the extreme/dynamique. Surely if you find two Xenon healdlight units from a scrapyard then you can swap the two units and have Xenon???

Most likely as they seem very brittle. The lenses is so tough yet the mounting points arent. It seems like a long winded process to replace a headlamp, but thats renault, why make things simple when they can be complicated!!!!!
