You can turn this fuction on and off. If you have the automatic locking doors (Above 5mph) Then the self locking when the car is left unlocked also works. You turn the fuction on and off by pushing the lock switch on the dash board for 10secs. You then get a beep and the fuction has been changed...

Its basically if you get a mark or scratch on the plastic trim. It comes in two colours black and anthracite. Cant image its much use for a 172 as its all colour coded. For the models with the standard bumpers it covers marks. I used as some how managed get a bit of white paint on the plastic...

I like the bottom picture. Retains the badge and alot of the original styling, but it has the meshed grill.

When I asked he said it didnt matter what colour as long as you know the manufactors paint code which i guess you do. It takes a few days as they have to order it from the suppliers and the it is likely that they make the colour. I will let you know if i expierence any poblems as I am gonna...
