As much as I love my 182 if I had £20k to spend on a car Id not be owning a 182.
Ive had both a 172 and 182 with Cup Packs and neither of them have let me down. They just rattle and have minor niggles. The Golf on the other hand should be solid and rattle free.
What Dave meant to say was the original used an old fan behind a grill arrangement, the newer version is a discreet blue blip which most people dont even know is there its so tiny. ;)

I reckon the not so nice colours had the old style grill arrangement. ;) Keeps the price down to go with the cheap paint. ;)
Mine were amazing at Spa, but I have a feeling its taken its toll on them. The car is in for a few bits on Wednesday so Ive asked them to check them out and replace them if need be. Ive covered 9k so far.
I helped Kathy do the V in weather like this and she kept dipping the leather in a bucket of warm water.
Im currently sporting the filthy rally look and wont be able to do anything about it until next week.
I put my hand brake on to make the lights change quicker too Dan. As you say, sods law. :p
My boss had never owned his own car until recently and Ive had to beat it into him to use the handbrake. Obviously he didnt care about the clutch in his company car.

Renault have always been crap for me with test drives. I didnt even bother driving the 182 as it would have been wasting both our time.
Honda gave me the keys to a Type R and Subaru let me take a P1 for the afternoon!!!
I seem to remember a couple of people on here rejected Cups a while back and it took some doing.
Good luck, I hope you get it sorted.
I think mines in for the 4th or 5th time in 5 months next week. Same things as the previous times, so far theyve failed to fix them.

Harsh luck Si.Everybody: Warrenties are your friend.
Id rather have a massive body kit and no warranty.
;)
Are they making you pay the lot then Si?
Considering what has happened Id be on the phone to watchdog. An engine of that age should not be doing what it did!
If you have the car surely you have sorted the insurance out already?
Adrian Flux arent cheap as they take on bigger risks than the more mainstream insurers.

The LCR is like a boat around Curborough, its a very tight sprint track.
Youll never find a fair review, and youll always defend your motor no matter what it is hey Mitchy. ;)

Just popped in to see if the centre section had arrived. It has and they are fitting it next Wednesday. Ive not totally given up on them ever fixing the knock, I think I might just get under it myself and have a look one weekend! As for the alarm I tried to give them a detailed explanation...
