Ive always had it. Came in handy a few years ago when I had a car written off. Without it Id not have been able to afford to buy a 6 month old Pug 306 GTi-6 :D as my insrurance would have been too high.
Shame Im still playing roughly the same. But as loony said yesterday, points...
Im with Tesco, and pay over £800 28 in a couple of weeks, full protected NCB, 16k a year, 3 points and garaged. I get f****d over every year and have no idea why.
Ive had a car full on many occasions, usually airport runs. Ive got Cup suspension which is fairly harsh most the time, but with a car full of people its fine. Handling is crap as I found out 4 up around the Nurburgring, but thats not an issue on the roads.
Performance wise its a fair bit...
It just bogs you down. It slows you down when 1/4 mileing. You need a small amount of wheelspin and to keep the revs up, ESP kills the revs bogging you down.
Are you using A539s Mark? They dont give anywhere near the same levels of grip as the PE2s on either wet or dry roads.
BenS commented on how much better I was able to get the power down out of the first corner hair pin at Spa compared to his Cup on A539s.
Ive got some of these bad boys in...
They are even better in the dry. Get them warm and they turn sticky, so much so that I could mould the edges at Spa they got so soft.
They are the best tyres Ive had in the wet though.
Unfortunately thats right. If within the first 12 months of the car being over here someone had written Renault requesting the warranty be extended then it would have 3 years. See this letter:http://www.leemather.plus.com/stuff/rw.jpg Link
The thing that gets me is that you say the dealer...
If I was you Id find out who the original dealer was that sold it as a UK car in the first place, Im sure Renault UK would like to hear of any dealers selling new cars not sourced in the correct way. Unless of course it was originally sold by a dealer on the continent then resold on over here...
Mine feels much quicker than when I got it. My 172 didt start to losen up until 10k, and really started to fly at around 20k. I expect the 182 to be the same. Im at almost 7k now and its running better than my 172 ever did.
