I just removed the head unit, there seems less room behind there than I had on the 172, and ran it down the centre console and along the bottom of the glove box. I have some little sticky plastic squares which you put a cable tie through to retain the cable. I used the clip they supply to...
Initially I thought Id put it under the passenger seat as the cuts were there in the carpet and the cable run was easy. So thats what I did. Then I wondered if the storage bin would go under the drivers seat, which it did. I prefer it under the passenger seat as I can reach across and get at...
Cable was simple as. Took me no time at all.
The storage bin seemed angled to fit better under the passenger seat but it still went, and the carpet is already cut on both sides so you just pull the bits out that are covering the holes.
£86:( The autochanger was factory fitted in my 172 so the cable was tied into god knows what.
Ive just been and put the new one in the 182 though and now have an autochanger at last, and I even moved the little storage thing to under the drivers seat.
I dont get it, I pay around £800 and Im 27. Full NCB, 3 points, no mods and covered for 16k miles a year. And I did phone around, thats the best I could get anywhere. Its going to be even more next year once Im on 6 points.
My car is even garaged at night.
Its shocking that you had to work so hard at getting the police to look into this, but nice one for sticking at it.
Hopefully that will be one less piece of thieving scum off the streets.
Surely the cost of swapping will negate and saving you would make on insurance anyway.
Id go for the 106, as someone has already said you can get a newer lower mileage car which wont cost much to run. My old GTi-6 never went wrong once.
Cups were available in Silver. Very rare too.
You can pick up a pre reg 53 plate with delivery miles for around £10k so work down from there if I was you.
Welcome to Cliosport.
Mine does all of the above as did my 172. I just put up with them to be honest.
The tappety noise is very obvious when driving alongside a wall for example. Nothing to worry about though. They all do it. In fact I find it has a more metallic sounding noise than the 172 used to have.
When I ordered mine I thought it would always tell me the speed limit of the road I was on also. I think they worded it in a slightly clever way on the adverts. LOL
I also thought it would give the road number also, not just when a camera is present.
It doesnt work like that. In the initial stages it all runs on trust. You tell the sales guy you know someone at Renault and he places the order under the premise that you do. Once your Friend has filled in the forms you hand them over to the dealer, then your friend receives a signed off...
